Here I find myself searching every nook and cranny of the internet trying to find as much information as possible. Yesterday, my husband brought up the idea to start an LLC baking company. Yes, just yesterday. Since then, I've filled out the articles of organization, started a website and Facebook page, created a logo and labels, and started this blog. All while trying to stay sane! Trust me, that is not easy!
Oh, yeah. The reason my husband brought this idea up: there's a baseball tournament in Allendale next weekend. As in a week and a half. And I'm going to make muffins for it. Yes, it all falls under the Cottage Food Act (or cottage cheese foods, as I've been calling it) and somehow everything has to come together by then.
Other than ponying up the $50 filing fee to the state of Michigan, there's still muffin cups, packaging, and ingredients to buy. And recipes to perfect. And a kitchen to disinfect. And so many otehr things that I can't even think of at this point.
This can either go as a fantastic summer (or longer) business, or a total and complete nightmare. Either way, I've already got a headache!
